Potassium is called the "alkalizer." It neutralizes acids and restores alkaline salts to the bloodstream. Potassium works with sodium in all cells including at nerve synapses to maintain or restore membrane potentials and to assist in metabolic processes. Potassium is critical to cardiovascular and nerve function, regulating the transfer of nutrients into cells and facilitating muscle energy. Proper Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, and Potassium intake is vital for health cell structure and adequate HgH or human growth hormone.
Water as an anabolic agent for HgH maximization:
Fluid is constantly moving in and out of the cell across an electrical gradient bisected by the cell membrane. This fluid exchange is controlled by electrolytes.
The mineral sodium is the chief extracellular electrolyte, whereas the mineral potassium is the chief intracellular electrolyte.
The key to obtaining the anabolic benefits of cell volumization is to maximize intracellular fluid. Drinking water will improve your overall hydration status, but it will not significantly alter the ratio of intracellular to extracellular fluid.
Studies have clearly linked the importance of the sodium/potassium ratio in connection with growth hormones.
By increasing your potassium intake and reducing your sodium intake, you shift water from the extracellular compartments of your body into the cells. Because potassium levels decline with age, as do growth hormone, cellular dehydration/shrinkage has been strongly linked to several disease states. It is evident that sodium/potassium and water is one of your most important daily choices in maintaining healthy cell structure. A high-water low-sodium intake coupled with a diet high in potassium-rich foods is a sound strategy for hydrating the trillions of cells in your body. Potassium is stored in the muscles.
Note:
Potassium benefits and/or deficiency symptoms are generic for the mineral. No product claims are being made or implied.
Ionic* Potassium (1500 ppm), Purified Water.
* "Most minerals [from food] are 8-12% absorbable, Chelated Minerals are 40% absorbable, and liquid... Minerals are 98% absorbable, being 7000 times smaller than Red blood cells, with negative-charge for absorption." - Joseph B. Marion; Anti-aging Manual. ("With a negative charge" means the minerals are ionic.)
Suggested Use for Potassium:
Adults: 1/2 to 1 ounce (1 to 2 tablespoons) daily. May be added to fruit or vegetable juice.
Important Notes Concerning Potassium:
The suggested daily amount of Potassium is an absolute minimum intended to supplement a very well balanced diet. Should your diet be less than perfect, increasing your Potassium intake may be beneficial.
Potassium is best taken in the morning as it opposes Calcium, which is typically consumed in the evening.
