Ginger generally refers to the fresh or dried, whole or powdered rhizome of the plant. Although it is often called ginger root, it is not a root. Turmeric is in the same family.

Award Winning Thai Ginger Chicken With Sea Salt
1/2 lb. boneless chicken breast, sliced thin
2 tbsp. fresh ginger, sliced thin
1/2 c. green onions in 3 inch slices
1/4 c. onions, sliced thin
1 tsp. crushed garlic
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. Tiparos brand fish sauce
1 tsp. sugar
Thai ginger sea salt
4 tbsp. oil
Over medium heat, brown garlic in oil. Add chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add ginger, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Once chicken is cooked, add both types of onions and turn off the heat. Season to taste with our Thai Ginger all natural sea salt! Serve with rice.
